The Great Bend Girls took first while the Boys brought home third Saturday at the Panther Invitational in Phillipsburg.
The Lady Panthers won the 19-team tournament with 145.5 points to easily outdistance second place Abilene (136.0) and third place Phillipsburg (90). Bre Ridgeway (132) and Sierra Ferguson (143) both brought home gold medals in their respective weight divisions.
The Panthers Boys were led by first place finishes by Kaden Spragis (120) and Wyatt Weber (138). Weber, ranked first at 138 by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association, was named the tournament's most outstanding wrestler.
Great Bend scored 110.5 points to take third behind first place Hoxie (207.5) and second place Phillipsburg 113.5).
