Wednesday afternoon, just after 1:30 p.m., Great Bend Police Officers responded to a residence located in the 1700 block of Morton Street in response to a report of an aggravated kidnapping and aggravated assault.

While responding to the call, officers were advised that a family member reported to 911 that a son was holding his mother at knife point inside of the residence.
