You are invited Thursday, Aug. 10 at 10 a.m. for a special artist meet-and-greet and media blitz to see the progress on Great Bend's newest mural being installed by the Barton Arts Movement thanks to Houston, Texas artist Whitney Hayden.
Known as Murals by Whitney on social media, Whitney is somewhat TikTok famous, and traveled a long way to install a unique color-melt mural featuring a "Welcome to Great Bend" message at a very prominent intersection in the community. This is just one of several new pieces of art installed around Barton County this summer, and one of over a dozen projects completed by the Barton Arts Movement since the group's inception three years ago.
