They don't make things like they used to. That's one of the appeals of Larned's Antique Vintage & Collectible show scheduled for Feb. 10-12. Chamber Director Alex Filbert said the event is a fun time for all.

"This our 52nd year of doing the show," she said. "It's a great time for all our antique dealers because it's like a great big family reunion for all of them, but it's also a lot of fun for the committee and the community to get involved, too, and check out different antique items, collectibles, toys, stamps, fun postcards, furniture, lots of different fun stuff."

In addition to those items, the show will feature jewelry, kitchen gadgets, glass, China, military items, dolls, linens, restored antique wood, and more. Concessions at the event will include homemade soups, sandwiches, and pie. The show will feature 15 dealers, 14 of which come from Kansas and another from Colorado.

"There's really a wide variety of things," Filbert said. "We even have one dealer that comes with lots of big furniture. In the past, he's had some great grandfather clocks and some other fun stuff."

The show will be held at the Larned Community Center, 1500 Toles Avenue, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 10 and 11, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12. Admission is free for those 10 years of age and younger, or $2 for each adult. A $5 weekend pass is also available. Proceeds from the show will go toward future shows and other chamber community events.
