District Judge Lisa Beran has announced she will seek reelection as 20th Judicial District, Division 3 Judge. The 20th Judicial District is comprised of Barton, Ellsworth, Rice, Russell, and Stafford Counties.
Beran was elected to the bench in 2020, after practicing law in the 20th Judicial District since 1987. She graduated from the University of Kansas in 1983, and from the University of Kansas School of Law in 1986.
Beran is a member of Holy Family Parish in Odin and St. Ann’s Altar Society. She served three terms on the Clara Barton Hospital Board of Trustees and was president of the board for several years. She has also been an active participant in other school and community organizations over the years.
She has resided in northern Barton County since 1987 with her husband, Gerald Beran, Jr. They have two children, Emily and Matt.
