Emil Ludemann-Ravit of the 20th ranked Barton Community College men's soccer team has been named the week six KJCCC Division I Goalkeeper of the Week.
In his lone game tending net last week, the freshman protector picked up his third win of the year in Barton's 3-1 avenging victory over Dodge City. After giving up a 20-yard strike to the far post midway through first-half action, Ludemann-Ravit rejected the next five Conquistador shots on frame and thwarted another pair of attacks securing the win.
Barton received quality play in goal by its pair of keepers last week, Ludemann-Ravit earning the Dodge City win as three days prior, Gabriel Bergamin rejected six shots to get the 2-1 win over Seward County improving to 5-1 as the lone goal surrendered was on a 1v1 situation after an errant Cougar pass set up the 50/50 battle for goal.
Most recently Ludemann-Ravit and the Cougars played to a 2-2 draw Tuesday hosting Otero Junior College leaving Barton at 8-3-1 overall.
Following the day of rest, Barton's next action comes Thursday morning in a 10:00 a.m. kick at Cougar Field against top-ranked Indian Hills Community College. The Warriors improved to 10-0-1 on the year earlier today in the Barton Mid-Season Classic defeating Otero 2-0.
