Great Bend Rec announces winners of Oozefest volleyball tournaments

Great Bend's Party in the Park is supposed to be the final party of the summer. Last year, below-average temperatures spoiled a little of the fun. The heat returned in 2025, the mud volleyball returned to Veterans Memorial Park, which made the Great Bend Rec's Oozefest Mud Volleyball Tournament all the more fun.

This year's event featured 28 teams in two divisions. All 28 teams played three pool-play games, and were then placed into a single-elimination bracket based on their finish in pool play.

In the green bracket, Anthony Lopez's Getting Diggy With it defeated Victor Reyes, Jr.'s Diggin You in the finals. In the blue bracket, Kimberly Hofflinger's Mud Mommies defeated Axel Leyva's Nesquik in the finals.
