Teams compete at annual Booster Club "Cougar Open" Golf Tournament in support of Barton Athletics #GoBarton

The 13th Annual Cougar Open took place Friday with thirty teams coming together in support of Barton Athletics at Lake Barton Golf Course.

The annual event organized and sponsored by the Bartton Booster Club chaired by Eric Gotsche, in addition to, the generosity of donors, provides a fundraising activity for Athletics through participation, sponsors, and raffle opportunities.

The four-man scramble team of Brandon Wells, Bryce Wells, Matt Karlin, and Lance Perez earned the 2025 title firing a 55 for a three-stroke victory over three other teams shooting a 58.

Three squads tied for First Flight honors compiling a 62 round score, the tandem of Doug Kaiser, Tracey Wagner, Lyle Stickney, and Alan Crowther coming out on top following tiebreaker procedures.

Similarly, tiebreakers decided the Second Flight deadlock of a 66 round, Trevor Rolfs' team consisting of Chris Huggans, Cole Schwarz, and Mark Panning sorted out as the last of three flight winners.

Through the generous donations of sponsors, over $6,000 of valued prizes were also raffled, as well as, offering a multitude of hole prizes.
