The Barton Community College men's golf team finished 8th overall today at the two-day Bent Tree Intercollegiate held in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Opening with a 319, the Cougars shot a solid 18-over 306 in Monday's afternoon round before following with a 315 for a combined 76-over 940 score.
Barton will host its next competition on October 7-8 in the Barton Invitational held at Junction City's Rolling Meadows Golf Course.
Martin Chevallier led eight Cougar entries in the meet by placing 12th at 6-over 222 by posting rounds of 74, and even par 72, and a Tuesday morning card of 76.
Placing 28th in the 61-man field was Kaleb Lambert with consistent rounds of 77-76-77 for a 14-over 230.
Talon Reynolds' consistent 79 rounds on Monday were followed by an 84 to finish 42nd at 26-over 242.
A trio of Cougars finished three strokes apart, Mason Moore in 47th at 31-over 247, Matteu Cauvin-Piacentini climbing three spots from the final round into 49th at 33-over 249, and Cooper Lucke 52nd at 34-over 250.
Rounding out the Barton entries were Wintakorn Suwanmuang in 54th at 38-over 254 with Easton Fitzpatrick 58th on a 52-over 268 accumulation.
