The City of Great Bend has sent out requests to local artists to participate in the 10th Annual Art & Wine Walk on May 3. Artists get assigned to a participating store where the artist’s work will be displayed.
Great Bend Community Coordinator Christina Hayes said this year’s event will include a pair of city employees.
"Two city employees have already registered," said Hayes. "One is Police Chief Steve Haulmark, who says he's really a dabbler. I would say he's an artist if you have ever seen any of his work. Our other city employee registered is Zoo Curator Ashley Burdick. Ashley takes beautiful photos of our animals."
During the Art and Wine Walk, people travel to the participating stores, taste food and wine and experience the variety of art.
