Virginia "Ginny" Brown, age 79, of Garnett passed away Aug. 28, 2022, at her home.
Ginny was born in Winfield on July 25, 1943. She was the fourth of five children born to Jesse McKibben and Mary (Seley) McKibben. On Jan. 29, 1959, Ginny married Cloyd "Pee Wee" Brown in Chilocco, Okla. Their union was blessed with three children, Teresa, Cindy, and Jesse. Ginny and Pee Wee have lived in Garnett since 1988. While in Garnett, Ginny worked at Pence's IGA for 10 years until the store's closing. In her free time she enjoyed tending her garden and flowers, but her greatest joy was her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Mary McKibben; three brothers, Frank, Lloyd, and Merle.
Ginny is survived by her three children: Teresa Hollan and husband, Roy, of Garnett; Cindy Janway and husband, Teddy, of Heavener, Okla.; and Jesse Brown and wife, Linda, of Garnett; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Phyllis Kelley and husband, Pat, of Winfield.
Private family services are planned for a later date. Arrangements were handled by Feuerborn Family Funeral Service in Garnett.
