From the Hoisington Police Department
On April 13, at approximately 8:34 p.m., a Hoisington police officer conducted a traffic stop on a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee for a traffic violation in the 400 block of E. 1st Street.
During the stop, the odor of marijuana led to a vehicle search, where marijuana, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia items were located.
The driver, Orlandus Neal, 62, was taken into custody and booked into the Barton County Jail on multiple charges, including possession and distribution of controlled substances. Bond is set at $50,000 cash or surety.
The Hoisington Police Department will continue to take a proactive stance against illegal drug activity to keep our community safe.
