Barton County’s Communities Organizing to Promote Equity (COPE) group will be hosting a Life Planning event Tuesday, Sept. 19 from 4 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Knights of Columbus in Great Bend.
COPE Lead Callie Miller said the event is designed to help citizens of Barton County to plan for life now and in the future by providing resources and other important aspects needed to be successful.
"There will be multiple resources and organizations that people can utilize to help better their future," said Miller. "Budgeting, clearing debt out and housing rental assistance...resources will be there for that."
There will be more than 20 vendors hosting booths to cover finances, insurance, income and food assistance. A taco bar meal will be provided for the first 100 attendees.
"We will have a small activity table for children," said Miller. "People can come and go as they please. We'll have door prizes that we will be drawing for throughout the event. "
COPE was formed in Barton County to identify and reduce barriers to health and wellbeing for all residents.
