U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran will visit Barton Community College on Friday morning to formally announce federal funding supporting several of the college’s workforce training programs.
The announcement is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at Barton’s Agriculture and Transportation Complex. The funding, awarded through Congressional Delegated Spending, will support the college’s Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Top Tech and agriculture programs.
Barton Community College President Dr. Marcus Garstecki will open the event with brief remarks, followed by Barton Community College Board Chairman Mike Johnson. Moran will then speak about the funding and its impact on the college’s programs.
Following the remarks, Moran and attendees will take a short tour of the facility.
