Congratulations to the outstanding students from Great Bend High School (GBHS) who represented HOSA at the International Leadership Conference (ILC) held in Houston, TX from June 26-29, 2024. This prestigious event brought together competitors from all HOSA charters across the globe, including the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Korea, China, Canada, and American Samoa. HOSA boasts a membership of over 200,000 dedicated students.

The ILC attendees from GBHS included Jasmine Figueroa, Eliana Teri, Cailyn Murphy, Bella Long, and Jackson Trudeau. Cara Murphy also qualified for the conference based on her exceptional performance at the Spring Leadership Conference in March but was unable to attend due to a scheduling conflict.

These students demonstrated outstanding dedication and skill, achieving remarkable results at the ILC:

· Eliana Teri and Cailyn Murphy - TOP 10 Finalist in "Medical Innovation"

· Jasmine Figueroa and Jackson Trudeau - Competitors in "Community Awareness"

Joseph Bliven, HOSA Advisor, expressed his pride, saying, "I'm so proud of all of them for their work and think that it is pretty cool that Great Bend got to be recognized on the global stage."

Cailyn Murphy and Eliana Teri placed “Top 10” in the Medical Innovation category for designing a device to aid in the administration of epilepsy medication in an emergency. Cara Murphy was also a member of the qualifying team but unable to attend ILC due to a schedule conflict.
