Local GBHS Kayettes will be hitting the pavement on Oct. 22 for their annual Trick-or-Treat for Hope campaign, collecting monetary donations to support disaster relief efforts worldwide.
Between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., student volunteers will go door-to-door through local neighborhoods to gather financial contributions for Hope Worldwide, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving individuals and communities impacted by natural disasters.
Unlike traditional trick-or-treating, the Kayettes won't be asking for candy—they will be asking for the community's partnership in providing critical aid, supplies, and assistance to disaster survivors. Community members are encouraged to keep an eye out for volunteers during these hours and consider making a monetary donation.

"Our goal with Trick-or-Treat for Hope is to channel the Halloween spirit into meaningful community action," said Holly Johnson, GBHS teacher and Kayette Club Sponsor. "By opening your door to the Kayettes on Oct. 22, you're directly supporting families who are working to rebuild their lives after devastating natural events."
Residents who wish to contribute are encouraged to have cash or check donations ready between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Oct. 22.
