WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Dexter Dennis had a career-high 21 points as Wichita State beat Tulane 82-57. Tyson Etienne added 20 points for the Shockers. Dennis hit 8 of 10 shots, including 4 of 6 on 3-pointers. Etienne shot 7 of 9, including 6 of 8 from the arc. The Shockers made 13 of 24 3-point tries for 54%, better than the 48% they shot overall and nearly matching the 55% they shot at the free-throw line (11 of 20). Christion Thompson led the Green Wave on Sunday with 16 points and seven rebounds.

JUPITER, Fla. (AP) — St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Miles Mikolas was scratched from his second bullpen session of the spring because of a flexor tendon issue. Manager Mike Shildt said the Cardinals hope to have a more concrete time frame for Mikolas return to the mound in a day or two. Mikolas entered this spring as one of four pitchers expected to be in the Cardinals rotation, joining Jack Flaherty, Dakota Hudson and Adam Wainwright.

CHICAGO (AP) — Kawhi Leonard received the Kobe Bryant All-Star MVP award after scoring a game-high 30 points in Team LeBron’s 157-155 victory over Team Giannis in Chicago. Leonard made eight 3-pointers to finish one shy of Paul George's All-Star record in 2016. LeBron James had 23 in helping his namesake squad win the All-Star game for the third straight year. Anthony Davis added 20 points, including a game-ending free throw.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — NASCAR’s season-opening Daytona 500 was postponed following a second rain delay, pushing the event into Monday. It's the second time in 62 years and first time since 2012 that “The Great American Race” will finish on a Monday. Pole-sitter Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was the leader 20 laps into the race when the rain returned, sending drivers back to pit road.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — San Diego State remains the only unbeaten team in Division I men’s basketball following a resounding victory at Boise State. Malachi Flynn had 22 points and the Aztecs improved to 26-0 with a 72-55 trouncing of the Broncos. Yanni Wetzell had 14 points and seven rebounds for San Diego State, while Matt Mitchell delivered 11 points, seven boards and five steals.
