Due to the observance of President's Day, many local financial institutions and public offices will be closed Monday. That includes Great Bend City offices and the Barton County Courthouse.
That means both the Great Bend City Council meeting and the Barton County Commission meetings that are usually on Monday will now be held on Tuesday, February 18. The Barton County Commission will meet at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning at the Courthouse while the City Council will hold their meeting Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall.
The USD 428 Board of Education will meet on Monday at 5 p.m. for a special session where no business will be conducted. The board will meet with Gary Sechrist, KASB Leadership Services Field Specialist, who will discuss leadership topics focused on board development, strategic planning, and setting goals for the district.
