LANE COUNTY — Two people were injured in an accident just before 4:30p.m. Friday in Lane County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis driven by Richard A. Davis, 62, Memphis, TN., was southbound on Kansas 23 ten miles north of Dighton.
For an unknown medical reason, the vehicle left the roadway, entered the east ditch and continued southeast through a field and came to rest approximately 100 feet off the highway.
EMS transported Davis and a passenger Lisa M. Schneider, 64, Olive Branch, MS., to the Lane County Hospital. Schneider was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
