Grain Market Outlook & Strategies for 2020

Grain marketing is no easy task, the more information one has can be useful in making those difficult marketing decisions. Farmers and landlords should make plans to join the Cottonwood Extension District at the “Gran Market Outlook & Strategies for 2020 program on Tuesday, January 7th in Hays & Great Bend.

In Hays it will be held at the Agricultural Research Center, 1232 240th Ave. Registration at 11:30 a.m. the program starts at 12:15 to 2:45 p.m. A complimentary noon meal is provided.

In Great Bend it will be held at American Ag Credit, 5634 10th Street. Registration at 5:30 p.m. program starts at 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. a complimentary supper is provided.

K-State Extension grain market economist Dan O’Brien will discuss Current Market Overview & Price Prospects of Corn, Sorghum, Wheat & Soybeans; and 2020 Marketing Strategies & Opportunities – from USDA January 10th & Forward. Then there will be a panel discussion by local elevator cooperatives on Basis Trends & Local Market Factors.
