With the older kids back in school, the Kansas Wetlands Education Center northeast of Great Bend is giving the younger kids a chance to learn. The next session of the Turtle Tots program is set to begin on Sept. 4.&nbsp;

The program is designed for children who are 3-5 years old. The tots and their caregiver are invited to a monthly nature program filled with stories, crafts, critters, science, and outdoor exploration. Turtle Tots will meet from 10-11 a.m. on each of the following dates to learn about these topics:

Sept. 4 - Vultures Oct. 2 - Skinks Nov. 13 - Bison Dec. 11 - Science Experiments Jan. 8 - Squirrels Feb. 5 - Seeds March 12 - Frogs April 9 - Earth Day
