Message from Eagle Market Manager Randy Goering...
KVGB’s Translator at 97.7FM will be signing off the air. Eagle Communications has requested a frequency change, and upon approval will be signing the translator back on the air, at 95.5FM. In the meantime, regular programming will continue on the AM band at 1590.
This change was necessitated by an interference issue that the 97.7 transmitter was causing with a cell phone provider. Upon being advised of the interference issue, Eagle engineers immediately did some testing and determined that applying for a frequency change would be the best solution.
At this time we’re waiting for the FCC to approve the frequency change. There has been no reason to fear the change won’t be approved, but until the FCC grants the change order, the KVGB’s translator at 97.7 will have to go dark. Once approved Eagle Communications will quickly resume the KVGB-AM translator signal at 95.5
