GREAT BEND - Donna Laverne Steinert, 84, passed away December 1, 2019, at Hospice House of Reno County, Hutchinson. She was born on May 29, 1935, in Osborne County to Roy & Jennie (Murphy) Sarver. She married Kenneth Steinert on August 15, 1954, at Russell. He died April 15, 2019.
A Great Bend resident, Donna was the bookkeeper for Murphy Tractor and supported all aspects of the family floor covering business. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She loved to crochet, read, bird watch and liked cats. She especially loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include, three sons, Chris K. Steinert of Great Bend, Royce A. Steinert and wife Kimberly of Hutchinson, and Nolan H. Steinert of Kalamazoo, MI; one sister, Donita Cartwright of Kansas City; 4 grandchildren, Christen Steinert, Valerie Adams, Lance Steinert and wife Amanda, and Makya Steinert; and 4 great grandchildren, Braxton, Ryder, Aliza, and Seth. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Steinert; a son, Kelly Duane Steinert; and brother, LeRoy Sarver.
Visitation will be from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 6, 2019, at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend, with Pastor Andy Addis presiding. Interment will be in the Great Bend Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Kans for Kids, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
