Father Reggie Urban will present a program about the creation of eight Catholic parishes in Ellis and Rush Counties in the late 1800s at 7 p.m., Monday September 28th in the Library at the Barton County Historical Society. Father Urban is a semi-retired priest of the Dodge City Diocese and has learned some interesting facts about the parishes founded in Hays, Catherine, Victoria, Pfeifer, Liebenthal, Rush Center, Munjor, and Schoenchen. The program is free for historical society members, for those 16 and under and $5 for non members.
