The Barton Community College baseball team scored in every at-bat Tuesday afternoon registering a pair of run-rule victories over the junior varsity squad from Tabor College.
Sitting idle for over two weeks due to weather conditions, the Cougars christened Lawson-Biggs Field for the 2025 season plating 38 runs and surrendering just three hits in the ten innings.
In game one Barton scored four runs in their first at-bat with eleven more crossing in the second frame while getting a three-man rotation combining for a no-hitter on the way to a 17-0 victory.
The Cougars got off to a seven-run start in the nightcap with six additional plate crossings in the second inning for a 15-1 win completing the sweep.
Moving to 3-1 on the young season, the Cougars and Blue Jays will square up again tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. from Lawson-Biggs Field in a single 7-inning contest to wrap up the three game series.
