While the official date to purchase tickets for the Barton Community College Foundation’s 45th Annual Big Benefit Auction was last week, Executive Director of Institutional Advancement Lindsey Bogner said it does not hurt to reach out to her office to see if there are any more seats to the fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 24.
The Big Benefit Auction is the most successful and longest-running fundraiser for the Barton Foundation. The money raised supports academic scholarships, along with enhancements to programs and facilities.
For the second straight year, the event will be held at the Great Bend Events Center, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
"The auction is growing very quickly," said Bogner. "We are really excited to have everybody there. Having it at the Events Center is how we're able to grow. We can fit more people in there, more auction items and more everything."
As of last Tuesday, Bogner said there have been 30 more reservations for Saturday’s event compared to last year.
