Barton Co. deputies make drug arrests following traffic stop

On Aug. 25, at about 5 p.m. Barton County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of 11th and Williams in the city of Great Bend. A 2002 Chevrolet Blazer was stopped for a traffic infraction. The actions of the occupants appeared suspicious to deputies, therefore Menta, the sheriff’s office K-9 was deployed. The dog indicated the presence of controlled substances. During the course of the investigation, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located in the vehicle.

Arrested at the scene were 63-year-old Devin Sullivan and 41-year-old Jennifer Willenberg, both of Great Bend. Both were charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp. Both have since posted a $10,000 bond and been released.
