Barton women's track and field add six to its national qualifiers

The Barton Community College women's track and field team added six more national qualifiers to its list competing this past weekend in Lubbock at the Masked Rider Open hosted by Texas Tech University.

The 2nd ranked Cougars posted nine personal or season bests, highlighted by the pair earned by Jayda Dillon in reaching national qualifying standards placing 3rd in the 100m at 11.70 and a 200m time of 24.21 in placing ninth.

Other new national qualifying performances included Kayan Green in the 1500m with a season best 4:59.52, Nia Robinson winning the long jump on a season best 6.21m mark, Jada Sewell's 7th place season best 40.59m discus mark, and Ariana Rodriguez joining Sewell and Efe Latham as Cougars entries in the hammer throw on a personal best 45.39m mark.

Barton stays in state for its next meet traveling to Winfield on Saturday for the Jinx Invite.
