
On Tuesday, April 19 beginning at 4 p.m. at the Agricultural Research Center – Hays. The Cottonwood, Midway and Post Rock Extension Districts will be hosting a Pasture Management Before and After a Wildfire program.
K-State Research & Extension rangeland specialists Walt Fick will discuss prescribed burns and management following wildfire, Keith Harmoney will go over his findings on recent and historical wildfires on pasture productivity and plant population in Ellis County, Chip Redmond K-State Mesonet will talk about the weather outlook for this coming season and rounding out the evening program will be Clint Laflin, Midway District Livestock agent talking about the experiences in the 4-county fire and overview and lastly then there will be a Town Hall – Q & A session.
