Driver injured after Jeep, semi crash

STAFFORD COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 9:30a.m. Monday in Stafford County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Jeep Renegade driven by  Hayler Volker, 29, St. John, was northbound on southeast 30th Avenue at U.S. 50. The driver failed to stop at the stop sign. The Jeep struck the passenger side of an eastbound 2016 Freightliner semi driven by Jonathan Andrade, 58, Benton, Kentucky.

EMS transported Andrade to the Stafford County Hospital. Volker and a 4-year-old passenger were not injured. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
