The strongest girls sport in the Western Athletic Conference may be soccer. Unfortunatley for the Great Bend Lady Panthers, they are right in the middle of a stretch against some of those WAC teams who are some of the best in the state.
Great Bend saw another one of those opponents Tuesday as Dodge City came to Cavanaugh Field and left with an 8-0 victory.
Dodge improved to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in WAC play with the victory, while Great Bend dropped to 2-5 overall and 0-3 in league play.
Great Bend will see another of those top teams Thursday when they host Liberal at Cavanaugh Field.
