Bat Cats split double header with Haysville

Brady Michel drove in four runs and three hits to lead the Great Bend Bat Cats to a 16-4 win over Haysville Friday night in game one of a double header at Al Burns Field. Haysville won game two 5-4.

The Bat Cats now stand at 12-11 on the season and 11-9 in the Sunflower Collegiate League. Haysville is now 4-11 in SCL play.

Great Bend, who took three of four from the Aviators, now head to Liberal where they will face the Bee Jays in a non-league game on Thursday night. Friday the Bat Cats return home to host the Hutchinson Monarchs at 7 p.m. at Al Burns Field.
