Hilda Coronel, 54, passed away September 4, 2021, at her home in Great Bend. She was born September 28, 1966, to Adolfo and Ernestina (Uribe) Coronel.
Hilda, a resident of Great Bend since 2010 coming from Salinas, Calif., worked for Kleen Smart. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose Lima Catholic Church. Hilda was an amazing cook and enjoyed flower gardening, but above all, she cherished weekend shopping trips with her children.
Survivors include her mother Ernestina Coronel of Mexico; children, Erik Solorzano and Edith Solorzano both of the home; five brothers Mario Coronel, Horacio Coronel, Juvenal Coronel, Albertano Coronel, Alberto Coronel all of Salinas, Calif.; and two sisters, Lourdes Vargas of Salinas, Calif., and Mayra Kurtz of Great Bend. She was preceded in death by her father, Adolfo Coronel; and brother, Adolfo Coronel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, at St. Rose Of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend, with Father Prakash Kola presiding. Interment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery North, Great Bend. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 8, with a Prayer Service with Pastor Tim Singleton at 6:00 p.m. and Vigil and Rosary with Father Prakash Kola at 7:00 p.m., all at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to Kindred Hospice, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
