Falls are common among older adults, with many causes such as medication side effects, dementia and walking difficulties. The Hoisington Public Library and Clara Barton Hospital’s physical therapy department will host a “Fall Prevention” talk at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, April 20.
“I’m very pleased to offer this program to seniors and those affected by falls,” said Library Director Karen La Pierre. “If this program can help prevent a fall and a trip to the emergency room, it will have been worth it.”
The event is free to the public, and will take place at the library, 169 S. Walnut in Hoisington. Call (620) 653-4128 for more information.
