In April, Daniel Frost went before the Great Bend City Council asking for more law enforcement control in the southeast portion of the city. Frost returned to a council meeting Monday to reiterate his plea, referencing loud music and partying occurring in the late evening and early morning hours.

"It could be solved pretty easily if you guys (council) just write into law about...three and four o'clock in the morning cannot be legal," said Frost. "I don't see this from the other cities. Why do we have these problems?"

Frost claimed he has called law enforcement to patrol the area more often, and he would like to see citations or consequences for these nuisances.

Great Bend Police Chief Steve Haulmark said police officers went to the section of town in question after Frost’s April complaint, including a detective in an unmarked vehicle.

"The officers did write some tickets and observed some violations," said Haulmark. "It was reported back to me that the officers did not see any more violations than they would normally anywhere else in town. I'm not saying it's not happening, but unless we have someone down there 24/7 I don't know how we catch it."

In April, Frost referenced the troubled area as Kiowa Road to Plum Street.

"If there is nothing we can do about it, then we're going to start coming to your homes and bothering you all night long," said Frost. "You might be able to put a law into effect, I don't know."
