Past members of the Great Bend Rec Noon and Morning basketball programs were honored in a “Hall of Fame” reception on Oct. 23, 2022. 

Past members honored were Jim Briel, Dennis Call, John Cross, L.T. Fleske, Howard Partington, Craig Thurman and Jim Vopat. This was the Rec’s second induction ceremony with the first one taking place in 2012. 

Besides recognizing longtime participants in our Basketball programs, the “Hall of Fame” committee has designated a fund in the Great Bend Rec Foundation to support future GBRC basketball projects that enhance basketball opportunities in our community.
