David Crawford, Sr., age 69

David M. Crawford, Sr., age 69, lifelong Great Bend resident, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, July 25, 2023, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.  David was born on Sept. 4, 1953, in Great Bend to Melva Jean and Andrew J. Crawford Sr., and graduated from Great Bend High School.  He was united in marriage to Patricia Chain on Aug. 8, 2007, at Newkirk, Okla.  David was self-employed as an appliance technician for many years. He was of the Christian faith and was a former member of the Sidewinders, a member of American Legion Riders Post #180 of Great Bend, a member of the Sons of the American Legion, and Founder of High On Life Recovery Center with over 40 years in recovery.  David loved motorcycles and recovery.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia A. “Patty” Crawford of Great Bend; two sons Daniel Ryan and David Crawford, Jr.; five daughters:  Amanda Crawford, Tamara Dauber, Dana Burk, Michelle Laham, and Brenda Holden; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers:  Andrew Crawford Jr. (& Diana), Steve (& Marcia) Crawford, and Kenneth Crawford; and three sisters: Judy Vasquez, Betty Adams, and Sue (& David) Schridde. David was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Brenda Langston, and one step-daughter Teresa M. Dutton.

According to his wishes, cremation has been chosen and a Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023 at the High On Life Recovery Center, 2701 17th Street, Great Bend, with Reverend Dick Ogle officiating.  The family requests that Memorial Donations be directed to the High On Life Recovery Center in Great Bend.
