
On June 28, at approximately 9:09 p.m., an officer with the Great Bend Police Department observed Joshua Kelly, age 25, in the 3300 block of 10th Street. The officer attempted to contact Kelly to place him under arrest on two outstanding Barton County District Court warrants for probation violation.
Kelly ran from the officer on foot, and was taken into custody in the 900 block of Harrison Street a short time later. Kelly was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was transported to the Barton County Jail and booked in lieu of a $10,000 bond for the narcotics violation and no bond for the two Barton County District Court probation violation warrants.
