Wilma “Faye” Loftis, 90, passed away on February 27, 2022, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas. She was born on April 15, 1931, at Bigelow, Arkansas, to A.B. & Clemmie (Johnson) Wiley. Faye was married to Richard Loftis on September 01, 1949, at Perryville, Arkansas. He died June 03, 2014.
Faye was a long-time Great Bend, Kansas resident. She worked mostly as a homemaker throughout her life. She enjoyed word searches, fishing, gardening: both flowers and vegetables, watching old westerns, and listening to old country music.
Survivors include five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Jimmy Loftis; and a daughter, Carol Welsch.
Visitation will take place Friday, March 4, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at 3 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at Great Bend Cemetery with Pastor Larry Schumacher presiding. Memorials can be made to St. Joseph Indian School, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
