Late Comeback Effort Comes Up Short for Tigers in MIAA Championship Game

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Fort Hays State struggled hitting shots early and tried to battle out of a 13-point deficit heading into the fourth quarter, but a late comeback rally came up short as Pittsburg State claimed the MIAA Tournament title on Sunday (March 10). FHSU is now 24-7 overall, while PSU also moved to 24-7 overall.

The Fort Hays State women's basketball team earned an at-large bid into the 2024 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship, announced Sunday (March 10). The Tigers secured the No. 3 seed in the Central Region and will take on sixth-seeded Northwest Missouri State in the quarterfinal round on Friday, March 15.
