Listen for big changes coming to the 1590 KVGB and 95.5 FM lineup later this month. First, Eagle Radio Operations Manager Mike Hesher will take over for Steve Webster on "Trading Post." Later, "Sports Day" returns to the air, and "Markley Van Camp and Robbins" replaces the Dave Ramsey show.

Hesher takes over for Webster on "Trading Post" on Aug. 15. The live show runs from 9-10 a.m. and features callers buying and selling local goods, along with other fun content.

"I am looking forward to that," Hesher said. "As most people know, that is the foundation of KVGB AM. John O'Connor hosted it for years. Steve's had it for a couple years. I'm a little nervous because there is a lot of power that used to be in that show.

"A lot of long-time radio people have been in that show, and now it's going to be me. I've done it six or seven times, and it's a blast. You just get to talk to some of the coolest people. Some of them have jokes, or they call in with the history of Great Bend. It's pretty cool."

"Sports Day" springs back to life on Aug. 23 at 12:30 p.m. The Show ran from 2011 to 2021 before a brief hiatus. "Sports Day," co-hosted by Webster and Hesher, will feature daily sports talk with a focus on local teams. Webster and Hesher will be joined by voice of the Great Bend Panthers Patrick Burnett, voice of the Hoisington Cardinals and Barton Cougars Cole Reif, reporter Mike Courson, and a host of area athletes and coaches.

"I'm just looking forward to getting Sports Day back on the air because I think it is a valuable commodity for the area and for KVGB AM," said Hesher. "I think the lineup now on KVGB 1590 AM and 95.5 FM is pretty strong."

Finally, the Dave Ramsey financial show that aired daily from 1-4 p.m. will be replaced by "Markley Van Camp and Robbins," a political talk show, which will air from 2-4 p.m. The show's theme is, "Make sense of it all and have a good time while you're doing it."

"It is a political show, yes, but they have three different generations of people on this show," said Hesher. "You have the Gen-Xer, you have the Baby Boomer, and you have the Millenial, so you get a wide range of opinions on this show. I've listened to the demo. It's not going to be your typical, conservative political show."

With Sports Day airing daily from 12:30-1:30 p.m., "Agriculture Today" will move from 1:30 to 2 p.m. That will be followed by "Markley Van Camp and Robbins."
