A standout athlete in two sports, Great Bend senior Macy Nachtigal has committed to continue her volleyball career at Barton Community College next year.&nbsp;

Nachtigal was part of the strong back row that helped the Lady Panther volleyball team reach a school-record 31 wins this season. Her 363 digs were 54 more than any other player on the team. She also led the team with 338 serve receives.

As a junior last spring, Nachtigal ranked No. 16 in all of Kansas in the javelin. She finished seventh at the state track meet.

Macy is the daughter of Dave and Misty Nachtigal.
