BUSINESS NEWS

On Thursday, Sept. 26, the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting for Kansas CPR Training to celebrate the growth of the business and its move to a new location at 2609 1/2 23rd Street, Great Bend. The expanded space offers more room for certification classes and provides a comfortable environment for hands-on training sessions.

Owner Dean Nuss, who started Kansas CPR Training part-time in 2010 and transitioned to a full-time business in 2020, is thrilled about the opportunities that come with the new space. “We can schedule training sessions any day of the week and at any time of day,” said Nuss. “Our goal is to make lifesaving skills accessible to everyone, and this new location helps us do just that. We’re also willing to travel throughout the state of Kansas to bring training to our clients wherever they need it.”

The business has expanded to include a team of six instructors, including a bilingual Spanish-speaking instructor, capable of accommodating a range of group sizes. While the new location is ideal for smaller, personalized classes, Kansas CPR Training is also equipped to handle large groups of up to 100 participants for off-site training sessions.

Kansas CPR Training offers a variety of courses, including Basic CPR and First Aid, BLS (Basic Life Support), Bloodborne Pathogens training for managing serious blood-related injuries, and Pediatric CPR and First Aid designed for daycare providers. The additional space at 2609 1/2 23rd St provides more flexibility and comfort for these certification classes.

The Kansas CPR Training website features a calendar with available dates for classes. The calendar uses a simple dot system: blue dots indicate sessions open to the public, while red dots denote private sessions. Kansas CPR Training also holds monthly CPR classes for the general public on the last Monday of every month. These sessions require an RSVP, which can be completed by clicking on the corresponding date in the online calendar.
