5. Unsafe & Dangerous Structure - 301 Chestnut
An investigation was conducted on June 26, 2023 at 301 Chestnut. During the investigation, the Health Department noted rubbish/trash, feces and a large number of roaches. The building inspector noted multiple violations of the Uniform Housing Code. A motion will be made to approve a public hearing on Aug. 21, 2023 for the unsafe and dangerous structure.
6. Wayfinding Signs
The CVB Advisory Board was instructed to make a plan and $50,000 was saved last year to pay for 15 wayfinding signs. The signs will match the welcome signs and create inviting directional signage to the points of interest and city locations. Marks Custom Signs placed a bid for $44,950.
7. Waterline Improvement at the Airport
The Armory has been in the process of getting bids and working with city representatives to develop a plan to improve the water service to its facilities to allow for an expansion and addition of the current building. The city will incur no cost with the Federal Government paying for the upgrade. A motion will be presented to allow improvements to the water system at the airport.
