
On Thursday, Dec. 26, at approximately 4:48 a.m., an officer with the Great Bend Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a black Nissan Sentra in the 800 Block of Macarthur Road for a moving violation.
During the stop, Barton County Dispatch advised that the driver, Jade Blair, age 29, had a suspended driver's license and had an active warrant out of Douglas County, KS.
Blair was placed under arrest, and during a search, a white crystal substance was located. A subsequent test revealed that the substance showed a positive response for methamphetamine.
Barton County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Menta was deployed and alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted and during the search officers located drug paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and marijuana.
Blair was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, driving while suspended and for her Douglas County warrant. Blair was transported to the Barton County Jail where she was booked in lieu of bond and awaits extradition for her warrant.
