Chase Raymond Public Schools (USD 401) is proud to announce that Mrs. Grace Faltysek, special education teacher and high school volleyball and scholars bowl coach, has been named the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) “Spirit of Sport” Award winner.
This prestigious honor recognizes individuals who exemplify the core values of education-based activities, including integrity, fairness, respect, and service to others. As a result of this recognition, Faltysek will advance into consideration for the National Spirit of the Sport Award.
Faltysek is widely regarded as a beacon of light and hope within USD 401. Whether in the classroom, the gym, or at school events, she consistently leads with compassion, purpose, and unwavering belief in every student and staff member. Her presence brings calm, encouragement, and a deep sense of belonging to those she serves.
In addition to her teaching and coaching roles, Faltysek also serves as a Restorative Practices Coach, helping to lead and strengthen restorative practices across the district. In this role, she supports student voice, relationship-building, and accountability, ensuring students feel heard, valued, and empowered to grow. Her work in restorative practices has positively shaped school culture and reinforced a community grounded in respect, understanding, and restoration.
Mrs. Faltysek is an outstanding leader, role model, and teammate. Her ability to advocate, support, restore, and build up students and staff is a defining strength and a key reason why USD 401 Chase Raymond continues to thrive. She exemplifies the heart of education-based activities and the true spirit behind this award.
Chase Raymond Public Schools is grateful that Faltysek’s leadership is being recognized beyond our district and celebrated across the state. We are honored to have others join us in celebrating a leader whose impact extends far beyond the classroom or competition floor.
