The Kansas Jayhawks baseball team hosted a regional for the first time in program history at Hoglund Ballpark this past weekend, and thanks to an upset in Atlanta, the action in Lawrence will continue.
The Jayhawks were the 15-seed in the NCAA Tournament, the second-lowest host for a regional site. The bracket showed them matched up with the Atlanta bracket, hosted by the 2-seed Georgia Tech. In Atlanta though, the Yellow Jackets were upset by the Oklahoma Sooners, meaning KU will host the super regional in a best of three series.
The Lawrence Super Regional will be played June 6-8.
