The athletes of World Wrestling Xpress are putting their bodies on the line for a cause. On Saturday. Nov. 9, the wrestlers will perform a Bodyslam on Cancer show at the Larned Community Center, 1500 Toles Road. Colorado's Zack Keyes, who wrestles as the patriotic Major Glory, will put his heavyweight title on the line in a special VIP match that begins at 5:15 p.m.

"That match is going to be the first one," he said. "It's a VIP match so it costs a little bit extra for people if they want to see that match ahead of time. They usuually do the VIPs for the cancer shows to try and raise more funds. It looks like they have at least five other matches on the card, ranging from tag-team matches to just singles matches."

WWX holds shows every few months to raise money for area community members. Proceeds from the Nov. 9 show will benefit 17-year-old Katrina Wood, a senior at Great Bend High School.

"This poor girl, last year she was also involved in a car wreck that caused her to be permanently disabled so now she's in a wheelchair," Keyes said.

Doors open after the VIP match at 6 p.m. with a 7:07 bell time. VIP tickets are $25 at the door. Regular show tickets are $15 at the door.
