Barton County Sheriff Brian Bellendir filed to run this week for the sheriff's position again in the 2024 election.
Every four years, the sheriffs in Kansas are eligible for reelection.
Bellendir is currently serving his third term as sheriff, first elected in 2012. Running unopposed in 2020, Bellendir garnered more than 10,000 votes.
