The Class 2A State Volleyball Championship bracket was headed exactly where the polls thought it would after Friday's pool action. Top-ranked Inman rolled its three opponents in one pool, and second-ranked Ellinwood did the same in its pool.
Saturday morning was a different story in Dodge City as both of the top-ranked teams fell in straight sets. Valley Heights downed Inman 26-24, 25-21. Maranatha Academy defeated Ellinwood 25-22, 25-17. Maranatha and Valley Heights will play in the state championship game later this morning, and Ellinwood and Inman will battle it out for the third-place trophy.
